About Me!
Molly Scott is a singer, actor, and dancer based in Portland, Maine, and New York City. Her notable professional credits include; Dorothy, The Wizard of Oz. Tzeitel, Fiddler on the Roof. Silly Girl/u/s Belle, Beauty and the Beast(The Rochester Opera House). Nun, The Sound of Music. Choir, Mr. Holland’s Opus(The Ogunquit Playhouse). Maid Marion/Not Merida, The Very Fractured Tale of Robin Hood(Maine State Music Theatre). U/S Mrs. Mallard, Make Way For Ducklings(Maddy’s Theatre). She was a four-time consecutive finalist in the Maine NATS Chapter Musical Theatre Competition, placing second in three consecutive years.
Molly graduated from the University of Southern Maine in the Spring of 2023 with her Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre Performance and a Minor in Dance. During her four years, she studied and coached with Edward Richert, focusing on musical theatre, and took voice lessons with Mary Bastoni, focusing on classical voice and musical theatre. She also spent two years with Jazz Voice, studying one-on-one with Amanda Roswick for one year. Molly spent her time at USM training in dance, training in intermediate jazz, tap, and theatre styles with Vanessa Beyland, and intermediate ballet with Maria Tzianbos. During her time training, Molly was also consistently performing at the university, her credits included Cinderella, Into the Woods. Hope Cladwell, Urinetown. Carla Albanese, Nine. Fairy Forkmother, Dear Edwina. Soloist, The World Goes Round. She was highly awarded, winning and performing for the Osher School of Music Honors Recital for three consecutive years.
Molly’s recent and notable credits include; Holly, The Wedding Singer(Schoolhouse Arts Center). Katherine Plumber, Newsies. Beth March, Little Women(Arts in Motion Theatre Company). Teaching Artist/Maria, The Sound of Music Audition Workshop(The Ogunquit Playhouse Arts Academy). She loves performing, singing a Don’t Tell Mama NYC a handful of times with the Comeback Cabaret(The Drama Company NYC) and Seth’s Talent Showcase(Seth Bisen-Hersh).
